Institute For Digital Molecular Analytics & Science (IDMxS) is a unique interdisciplinary Research Centre of Excellence (RCE), funded by National Research Foundation, Ministry of Education (Singapore), Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore. Hosted by NTU, IDMxS is focused on development of core science to drive a paradigm shift in molecular detection and analysis to link the biomolecular world of life with the networked world of technology. We are looking for a Research Fellow/ Associate to develop translational potential of IDMxS technologies within the institute. The role will focus on in vitro toxicity platform development. Key Responsibilities: Perform, optimize, and develop analytical assays as part of industrial validation studies. Stay up to date with cell-based and cell-free assays for testing of irritants Execute biophysical/biochemistry experiments and perform data analysis. Ensure effective communication among group members. Ensure accurate and systematic documentation of laboratory work. Draft scientific publications, present research findings internally and externally. Comply with all laboratory safety standards and guidelines. Assist in lab management matters when necessary Requirements: Master’s / PhD in life science, biotechnology, microbiology, or other related disciplines or related field. Min 1 year of relevant experience in in vitro assay development / technical hands-on experience in bottom-up reconstitution of biological interfaces. Familiarity with required OECD irritancy assays. Good written and oral communication skills. Proficiency in fluorescence microscopy, spectroscopy, bacterial cell assays, biochemical assays, etc. Interpersonal skill (e.g. Ability to work independently / develop solutions under strict timelines, meticulous and eye for details / excellent organizational / time management skills).
