BACKGROUND
Surgical site infections (SSIs) are a significant problem for the NHS due to increased treatment costs and resource use. The ROSSINI platform trial is aimed at assessing interventions aimed at reducing SSIs taking type of surgery into account. There are also unanswered methodological questions with respect to how we should conduct economic analysis alongside platform trials. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Grade 7 Researcher to join our multidisciplinary team conducting health economic evaluations within the ROSSINI platform trial setting.
ROLE SUMMARY
You will work alongside clinical trialists, statisticians, surgeons and other health economists on the ROSINNI platform trial aimed at assessing the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of interventions for the reduction of SSIs and also explore methodological questions with respect to the economic analysis of platform trials.
