ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow or Fellow to join a dynamic team conducting impactful public health and epidemiological research focused on tobacco control, e-cigarettes, and chronic disease. Tobacco smoking remains the leading preventable cause of death globally and in Australia, with significant health inequities among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to national efforts toward reducing smoking prevalence and addressing the emerging public health challenges posed by electronic cigarettes.
The successful candidate will lead and collaborate on projects investigating the health impacts of e-cigarette use and chronic disease, and engage with a broad range of stakeholders in advocacy, policy, and health practice. The role also involves a leadership contribution to monitoring and evaluation research, particularly in support of the National E-cigarette Monitoring and Evidence Consortium. This is a unique chance to work on nationally significant reforms in a fast-evolving policy landscape.
