SGSR is a research collaborative project funded by NRF CREATE. This project is part of the Smart Gripper for Soft Robotics program. The program aims to deliver soft active gripper for manipulation of objects for industry applications. The design of coating, materials preparation and process of coatings require understanding on the surface properties and mechanical properties. Basic understanding on electrochemistry and electrical properties will be required for the applications in soft robotics.
PI is seeking to recruit a talented postdoc with a creative mindset and appropriate skillsets to deliver the project of soft grippers, particularly on coatings and interfaces of the soft gripper with its surroundings.
