Research Fellow – Part-time (0.6 FTE), fixed term until 30th September,2026 manage a complex range of external stakeholders across multiple institutions to support inclusive research delivery Level B $127,436 (Pro-Rata) + 17% superannuation About the opportunity Looking for a Research Fellow to contribute to cutting-edge research in inclusive cervical screening for people with intellectual disability. It sits within a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering the NHMRC Targeted Cancer Research Grant ScreenEQUAL: Overcoming Inequity – Increasing Cervical Screening Participation for People with Intellectual Disability. The successful candidate will work closely with Professor Deborah Bateson and stakeholders including Family Planning Australia, UNSW, WSU, Cancer Council NSW, and grassroots disability organisations. Formed in 1856, Sydney Medical School is the oldest medical school in Australia. it accommodates around 1200 medical students undertaking a four-year graduate-entry Doctor of Medicine program, in addition to postgraduate coursework students undertaking a wide range of master’s degree, graduate diploma and graduate certificate courses. In addition to teaching and research facilities on the primary Camperdown and Westmead campuses, Sydney Medical School is comprised of six metropolitan clinical schools and three rural clinical schools where students undertake most of the program. Your key responsibilities will be to: work closely with stakeholders including CI with intellectual disability, academic institutions, and community organisations manage research activities related to the ScreenEQUAL project contribute to the development of Easy Read documents including Lived Experience Advisory Group meeting papers support the implementation of a data linkage study and analysis of clinical trial results contribute to research outputs and grant-related reporting carry out administrative tasks and contribute to faculty/school meetings. About you doctorate or PhD in a relevant field proven experience conducting original research and engaging in scholarly activity experience working with people with intellectual disability ability to create Easy Read materials and inclusive research tools a developing research profile in discipline or area of expertise proven experience supervising and mentoring others.
