UCL Department of Chemical Engineering is one of the top research and teaching departments in the UK and has world-class standing. The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and has an extensive research portfolio across a wealth of areas, from molecular scale to complex systems.
The project is funded by the Innovate UK and will be focused on and will involve close collaboration with Industry to develop a prototype gas adsorption rig for CO2 capture applications.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The post holder will develop a prototype adsorption-based system for CO2 capture. The candidate will analyse and apply their knowledge to gas adsorption processes in temperature swing adsorption (TSA) and pressure swing adsorption (PSA). The post holder will also be expected to write high-impact publications and commit to high quality research, working closely with Industry to implement practical aspects of the gas adsorption rig.
This is a fixed term role until 31st March 2026.
Salary is £45,103 - £48,679 per annum inclusive of London allowance.
