This role requires the successful candidate to maintain a Working with Children Check The successful candidate can apply for the WWCC as part of the onboarding process. Responsibilities
  • Develop Automated Workflows: Utili s e Python scripting (or equivalent) to automate job preparation, submission, analysis, and visuali s ation for high-throughput quantum chemistry calculations.
  • Conduct Accurate Calculations: Perform accurate wavefunction calculations on high-performance computer clusters to generate ab initio reference benchmarks.
  • Collaborate and Publish: Work closely with the industry partner, analy s e data, and contribute to the preparation of research publications and grant applications.
  • Supervise Students: Participate in the supervision and mentoring of research students within the Goerigk research group.
  • Contribute to Research: Conduct internationally competitive research in theoretical quantum chemistry, resulting in publications in highly reputable journals.
