The National Institute of Education invites suitable applications for the position of Research Fellow on a 24-month contract at the Singapore Centre for Character & Citizenship Education.
Project Title: Singapore Centre for Character & Citizenship Education Research
Project Introduction: The Singapore Centre for Character & Citizenship Education (SCCCE) aims to conduct CCE-related education research to inform policy and practice and be a nexus for research, practice, and theory in CCE, with greater emphasis on practice and pedagogy in the Singapore context.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Doctorate degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Psychology, Philosophy, Education). Fresh doctorate are welcomed.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in research and education
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a research project
  • Demonstrated ability to propose, design and implement appropriate research methodologies and instruments
  • Ability to write reports, publications and presentation materials
  • Ability to present research findings through various platforms
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to work cooperatively in teams
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative software programmes
Responsibilities
  • Support in project management including leading a team of research staff
  • Resolve issues and manage research variables
  • Conduct literature review
  • Co-ordinate and/or conduct data collection, coding and/or archival
  • Analyse data and synthesise information from research findings
  • Propose, design and implement appropriate research methodologies and instruments
  • Write reports, publications and presentation materials
  • Present research findings through various platforms
  • Assist in planning and executing tasks to achieve key deliverables
  • Oversee project to ensure the progress is on track
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator
