YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ph.D. in artificial intelligence, big data, digital health, or epidemiology (mandatory)
  • Extensive experience in data analysis and modelling using statistical software and programming languages such as STATA, SAS, Python, or R
  • Proven ability to conceptualise, coordinate, and manage clinical trials effectively
  • Strong track record in conducting impactful research, publishing findings, and securing grant funding
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing needs
  • High level interpersonal skills, including the ability to form productive professional relationships and communicate effectively with various stakeholders and team members

Responsibilities

The Ophthalmic Epidemiology Research Unit is seeking a dedicated Research Fellow to support our innovative research projects, focusing on the use of artificial intelligence and retinal imaging to detect sight-threatening conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration and life-threatening conditions like high intracranial pressure, heart attack.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Develop research materials, including drafting protocols and optimising processes
  • Conduct data collection, entry, and analysis using statistical software and programming tools
  • Use statistical tools and decision analysis methods to support structured research assessments
  • Maintain accurate records of research activities and compile results for presentations
  • Prepare manuscripts for publication and submit findings for conference presentations.
