Job Description:
Overview
The Department of Computer Science at the National University of Singapore is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (RF) or Senior Research Fellow (SRF) specializing in the areas of multimedia forensics and digital trust enhancement. This project focuses on the development of advanced solutions for detecting forged images, ensuring audio-video consistency, and enhancing multimodal identity verification.
The project combines expertise in deep learning, multimedia analysis, and security to create systems capable of operating in real-world environments while addressing the challenges of digital impersonation and media manipulations. Candidates will be selected based on their research ability and previous experience in fields relevant to digital security and multimedia forensics. Applicants are expected to have a robust technical background acquired during their PhD studies.
The multimedia security group at NUS offers a dynamic and supportive research environment, ideal for individuals keen on contributing both theoretically and practically to the field of digital security.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Contribute to research initiatives by developing and validating algorithms for audio-video synchronization and identity verification.
  • Supervise the integration of these technologies into a cohesive system to enhance multimedia content security.
  • Publish findings in high-impact journals and present at international conferences

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed all requirements for a PhD degree.
  • The candidate’s track record in publication, and strengths as an independent researcher are valued.
  • Expertise in advanced signal processing techniques, computer vision algorithms, or AI-based synthetic media detection is strongly preferred. If the candidate has demonstrated experience in multimedia forensics, especially in detecting deepfakes or manipulated audio/video content, this will be considered favorable.
  • Committed to full-time employment at NUS, Singapore.
  • Preference to candidates with strong research background relevant for the project, determined via interviews.
