The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities. A Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow is required to coordinate concurrent research projects in the laboratory of Assistant Professor Lim Jue Tao. This project, led by LKCMedicine, Nanyang Technological University, will be conducted in collaboration with the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, National University of Singapore, Singapore General Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and the National Centre for Infectious Diseases. This position will offer a multidisciplinary and unique collaborative environment with diverse learning opportunities. The successful candidate will work together with the PI to coordinate and lead a large research project on understanding healthcare associated infections. Key Responsibilities: Undertake and direct literature reviews Lead the analysis of large-scale population level data sets using statistical and data science techniques Provide statistical and mathematical modelling advice to junior researchers Lead the writing reports, presentations, and publication of results and findings in peer-reviewed journal Generate research questions Collaborate with researchers in other national and international institutions Coordinate a large research team to drive multiple research projects Key Competencies and Requirements: PhD in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health or related field. At least 0-2 years of relevant experiences in similar role as a post-doctoral researcher Proficiency or a strong interest in epidemiology infectious diseases and health data science Ability to communicate findings effectively, good written and oral communication skills (if applicable) Competent in ability to work independently, eye for details, excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work in a diverse and large team of researchers Have good proficiency in Statistical software (R) We regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
