You will join an Aboriginal-led unit, collaborating with communities, services and policymakers to improve care for families. You will strengthen your academic profile through publications, supervision, curriculum development and high-impact policy engagement. What you will deliver: Lead and contribute to mixed-methods research to improve perinatal care and social and emotional wellbeing for families, and health equity. This includes opportunities for qualitative research, linked data analysis and applied implementation research. Develop and evaluate culturally safe, trauma-informed tools, curricula, training and resources for health and community service workforces. Produce high-quality publications and presentations, and translate findings for communities, policymakers, practitioners and broader public audiences. Supervise and mentor junior researchers and students, supporting ethics, study design, data analysis and project coordination. Build strong partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and services to enhance policy influence and implementation. You may be a great fit if you: Hold a PhD or equivalent expertise in public health, epidemiology, health sciences, allied health or related disciplines. Demonstrate research experience in Indigenous health, public health or related fields, including evidence of translational activities. Bring experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities or organisations, with cultural safety and respect. Use quantitative and qualitative methods confidently, including relevant data collection, analysis and software for complex public health research. Manage multiple research projects effectively, meeting deadlines in dynamic environments with shifting priorities and diverse stakeholders. Have experience contributing to curriculum development, workforce training resources or trauma-informed approaches, or would be keen to grow these capabilities.
