Description

ABOUT US

The Gatsby Unit at UCL has been at the forefront of theoretical neuroscience and machine learning since its establishment in 1998. We maintain a singular and cohesive research culture, emphasising interaction and collaboration both within the unit and beyond. The unit’s research benefits from close links to the exceptional scientific communities at UCL in neuroscience, machine learning and AI. We are located in the heart of London a few blocks away from the UCL campus.
Further details of our research are at https://www.ucl.ac.uk/gatsby/our-research.
We actively encourage collaboration within and outside the Unit and support this by a generous annual travel allowance to support conference, workshop and research visits.

Responsibilities

We are now inviting applications for a post-doctoral training Fellowship under the guidance of Dr Agostina Palmigiano, focussed on developing theoretical approaches to investigate the mechanisms underlying sensory, motor or cognitive computations.
You will be responsible for the primary execution of the project (with opportunities for co-supervision of students), presentation of results at conferences and seminars, and publication in suitable media.
This post is initially funded for 2 years with the possibility of a one-year extension at the end of the period.
A job description and person specification can be accessed at the bottom of this page.
