FIXED TERM: FOR 5 YEARS

We are looking for an early career postdoctoral researcher who is ready to develop their own, independent research in a supportive environment in collaboration with and under the guidance of the newly appointed Tait Chair of Mathematical Physics, Professor Steve Tobias.

YOUR SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:

  • PhD in Mathematics, Physics, Astrophysics, Geophysics or related subject.
  • Relevant research experience in theoretical and computational astrophysical and geophysical fluid dynamics with a record of high-quality lead-author and co-authored refereed journal publications (relative to career stage).
  • A track record of publication in high quality journals.
  • Ability to lead and/or take responsibility for independent research; developing research objectives, projects and proposals for individual and collaborative research.
  • Capable of working independently, exercising a high degree of initiative, and with the ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly, orally and in writing.
