The School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is the largest criminology department in the UK with an established presence in undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral education, complemented by a successful applied criminology research profile.
The School recently became one of nine Police Academic Centres of Excellence (P-ACE). To support the new Centre the School is seeking a flexible and committed Research Fellow 0.88FTE (32.5 hours per week) to oversee the Centre’s activities.
You will successfully manage a UKRI/NPCC funded Centre of Excellence and related activities on your own or on behalf of the Centre directors. The role will involve liaising and networking with funding bodies and other relevant professionals, developing, analysing, interpreting research data and writing papers for research journals and material for publications contributing to the growing research culture in SCCJ.
This is a fixed-term position to 31 July 2028.
If you wish to discuss this further, please contact Professor Sarah Charman; sarah.charman@port.ac.uk
Interviews are anticipated to be held 8 July 2025.
