About the Role: The Research Operations and Clinical Trials Support Unit provides support for the conduct of clinical research at Canberra Hospital. The Unit includes the Research Ethics and Governance Office (REGO). REGO is responsible for research governance processes and management of the ACT Health Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and its sub-committees, including secretariat support, policy development and project management. The Research Governance Officer and Data Analyst will support the REGO Senior Manager and Senior Director with high level administrative work and data analytics. Including, providing secretariat support to research governance committees and undertaking data collection and analysis. Data is collected and presented for local and national reporting requirements and presented using PowerBI dashboards and other relevant programs. This position will work with REGO to strengthen research governance, quality, and compliance. The role ensures that REGO can meet and maintain its reporting requirements under the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC), the National Clinical Trials Governance Framework (NCTGF), Canberra Health Services performance and quality metrics and enable REGO to operate in an environment of continuous quality improvement. This position will be instrumental in ensuring REGO delivers research ethics and governance processes to the highest standard, safeguarding participant safety and data reliability while enabling Canberra Health Services to expand its role as a leading research centre.
