JOB SUMMARY
The Research Information Systems Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced research systems and solutions. This role involves engineering systems and automation, providing technical support, and ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of research systems and applications. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize research processes and support the organization’s research objectives.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Six or more years of relevant experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with system architecture standards Experience with insuring system compliance with relevant government regulations, including DoD directives, NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) guidelines, FISMA (Federal Information Security Modernization Act), and other applicable security and privacy standards.
Experience building and working with systems designed, built, and maintained to meet stringent federal security and regulatory requirements.
Configured and deployed infrastructure, applications, and systems to meet specialized research driven requirements.
Experience with On-Prim server architecture with over 5 years experience.
