    Your Opportunity
    You will be joining Mission Australia’s Centre for Evidence and Insights, a team that that inspires curiosity for evidence that leads to action.
    Reporting to the Research and Insights Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to robust research and analysis projects that lead to actionable insights into areas of unmet need.
    By contributing to the design and implementation of research projects, including literature reviews and environmental scans, you will ensure Mission Australia’s research is accessible and impactful in supporting the organisation’s strategic priorities. Your role will involve gathering and analysing evidence, uncovering key insights, and transforming these insights into actionable opportunities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Participate in the development and implementation of a robust research projects that increases the impact of Mission Australia’s strategic objectives and provides unique insight into areas of unmet need.
  • Test the application of relevant research findings and insights to determine scalability of the intervention/s within Mission Australia.
  • Write targeted and accessible content for the dissemination of Research and Insights across Mission Australia and the wider sector (as appropriate) that champions learning and drives improvement.
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing relevancy of research and insights application.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, resulting in high-level stakeholder satisfaction and engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical users about complex research methodologies to assist business application.
  • Participate in relevant cross-functional teams, relating to particular service streams, programs or individual services, identifying areas for improvement.

Requirements for Success

  • Tertiary qualifications in human services, social sciences, management, research, analytics or related field is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and conducting research, including literature reviews.
  • Experience using qualitative and quantitative data and analytics to draw relevant, actionable insights that inform decision-making and deliver strategic outcomes.
  • Ability to synthesise and analyse complex information from a range of sources to develop solutions and proactive strategies for improving quality and performance.
  • Ability to communicate complex information, in a simple yet compelling way, both in writing and orally to multiple audiences.
  • Sound judgement and proven ability to exercise autonomy as appropriate, with limited direction from senior leaders.
