Neurona Therapeutics is a clinical stage biotechnology company based in South San Francisco created to develop stem cell-based therapies for neurological disease.  Opportunity: Working under the direction of a mentor, you will be involved in support of neuroscience professionals.  Opportunities are available in our Preclinical and Discovery Departments.   The successful candidate will be adaptive, learn quickly and contribute to successful completion of goals. Candidates must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area as there is no relocation available. You will be a rising junior or senior undergrad STEM student with an interest in neuroscience pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, biomedical sciences, biomedical engineering, or related discipline. Program Details * Duration: 8-10-week program   * Schedule: Up to 32 hours per week * Compensation: $24 per hour Key Responsibilities * Conduct research and gather data to support research development and continuous improvement * Collaborate with research associates to analyze results * Perform hands-on laboratory work, including sample preparation and data analysis * Maintain accurate, detailed, and organized experimental records * Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment * Communicate progress, results, and challenges clearly with team members * Take initiative to learn new techniques and expand technical skillsets * Represent Neurona Therapeutics in a professional and positive manner at all times * Embrace a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required: * Completed college level Biology and Chemistry coursework * Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and developing project management capabilities * Ability to follow detailed laboratory protocols and document work accurately * Effective communication and teamwork skills * Basic data analysis and problem-solving skills * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)   Work environment, physical demands: * Work is normally performed in an office or a laboratory * Lifting requirements:   Under 20 lbs * Travel requirements:   None This job description is not exhaustive and not intended to cover all activities of the position.
