INTERNSHIP SUMMARY:

Country Intelligence Group is seeking highly motivated graduate and senior undergraduate students who have an interest in pursuing a career that supports U.S. national security and the defense of our country.
Country Intelligence Group has current 6-month long internship openings that will provide the opportunity to develop critical on-the job skills to compliment a college degree. Students who enjoy coursework in International Relations, Foreign Affairs, Politics, International Business, Economics, Statistics, and Data Analytics will find this internship very rewarding.

REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or graduating senior undergraduate student
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person, to small groups, in writing, and over the phone is required.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team is required.
  • Effective time management and punctuality is important.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of basic statistical concepts is helpful.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor.

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • U.S. Citizenship, favorable work and criminal history; a successful secret security clearance background check will be required prior to placement on client-related work.

Responsibilities

Interns will have the opportunity to perform a wide variety of tasks that support overall execution of client projects and business operations. While serving your internship, you will work alongside other permanent staff as part of the team, and you will learn by doing.
The primary tasks performed are related to research and analysis of Department of Defense Workforce initiatives and the training and education mission of a global workforce. You will have the opportunity to interact with a multitude of defense organizations, and you will liaison with many external customers to coordinate updates to training databases, collect data for various initiatives, resolve or escalate reported issues, and conduct research and analysis on countless topics. You will provide focused analysis and reports to Senior Leaders, and support their decision-making process.
