Description

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Research Lab Associate II to support lung cancer research studies through direct patient interaction, sample coordination, and data collection. This role plays a vital part in enrolling patients to lung cancer research protocols and contributing to translational projects focused on carcinogenesis and treatment.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a patient care setting, and while phlebotomy experience is preferred, it’s not required. Prior exposure to consenting patients for clinical studies is an asset. This individual will collaborate closely with physicians, project managers, and principal investigators (PIs), and should possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, along with proficiency in computer systems and applications. A foundational understanding of molecular and cell biology is also preferred.
Responsibilities include supporting patient consent for studies under PI or physician guidance, collecting and organizing data per protocol, assisting with biological sample processing and downstream analysis, preparing data for internal discussions and scientific presentations, and maintaining supplies and records—all while contributing to the overall success of the research team.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, in a scientific discipline appropriate to the research department.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
