About the Role:
The School of Pharmacy invites applications for the Research Laboratory Technician position in the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct biological characterization of small molecule compounds to develop therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders
  • Setting up and performing experiments; assisting and teaching and other laboratory staff (postdocs, student workers, graduate assistants, etc.) about specific laboratory techniques and protocols
  • Assist with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents
  • Maintains and order equipment and supplies
  • Helps monitor compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulatory policies, procedures, directives and mandates
  • Laboratory and instrument maintenance, customer training and support
  • Daily bench work involving cell culture, ELISA and data processing
  • Independently handling and maintaining advanced instrumentation, e.g., plate reader, western blotting, etc.
