The Department of Surgery has an exciting opportunity for a Research Laboratory Technician position. The incumbent aids scientists in their experiments by monitoring and recording their findings. Moreover, the Research Laboratory Technician ensures laboratory compliance with applicable safety regulations.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDES:

Knowledge of principals of biochemical reactions. Familiarity with using PC computers for tasks related to biostatistics, maintenance of biological databases and their development. Skills are required for work with biochemical reagents and laboratory specimens.
