Pulse AHP’s Phlebotomy Team is currently recruiting for experienced Phlebotomists/Healthcare Support Workers to join the team for a role based in the South Wales area. This project is due to start at the beginning of April and will be ongoing These roles will be working locally in the South Wales area providing Phlebotomy & Healthcare Research services. To be successful in this role you MUST have at least 1 years’ experience in drawing bloods and have competency as a phlebotomist. This is an established programme that is looking for new candidates as it moves into its next phase. Position: Phlebotomist/Healthcare Support Worker Location: South Wales Hours: Part Time, shift patterns vary, this is a shift-based role. We would be looking for candidates to ideally have at least 2 days per week availability. Duration: Ongoing Essential skills: Recent phlebotomy experience of at least 12 months Proof of competency is desired but not essential Driver would be very beneficial due to the sites being mobile. We are looking for experienced phlebotomists who also must have Phlebotomy/HCA experience to be able to work at least 2-3 days per week in a 7-day service. This is very much a shift-based position rather like a bank role in that we will look to fit around your availability. This position would be very appealing to candidates looking for a second or part time job. Please note this role moves venue every 5 to 6 weeks to different mobile units. This a 7-day service with full days working. Hours are shorter at weekends. This position will be available from April. Some of the areas we expect this to be in the next few months include Cardiff/Penarth/Newport/Barry These will be mobile sites which will move around on a regular basis every 5-6 weeks and so it would be very beneficial if you are able to drive and to work at different sites. These positions are available now and the pay rate for this role will be up to £19 per hour (umbrella rate) with weekend enhancements. Main responsibilities of this phlebotomy vacancy: These include height, weight and waist measurements captured, taking heart rate and blood pressure checks and inputting result data onto the system. Draw two blood samples for each participant, labelling and storing correctly. Checking the welfare of the participant throughout the appointment, escalating any issues to the nurse in charge as required. Offer signposting, advice and guidance to participants as required. Prepare boxes containing samples to be collected by the courier at the end of every shift. Essential requirements of this phlebotomist vacancy: You must be a phlebotomist with recent experience of at least 12 months. You must be willing to fully register with our agency.
