OFFER DESCRIPTION

At Luke, we are looking for a Research Professor to lead and conduct research on the economics of adaptation and resilience to environmental and geopolitical shocks, with a focus on effective policy design through advanced economic modeling. Global environmental and economic changes require industries to adapt to new conditions. As geopolitical conflicts and extreme weather events disrupt global trade flows, assessing the role of governments in stabilising the economic system and recovering from the shocks raises its importance.
The research field covers economics, focusing on the environmental issues and policies, from the perspective of adaptation to climate change and geopolitically originated shocks. Combining economics of adaptation, resilient system design and understanding of global trade and change is expected to offer new insights in designing effective, welfare maximising policies at the national, EU and global levels.
