POSITION DESCRIPTION
Research Project Assistant, Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Children (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-time Temporary with modified benefits, with possibility of extension
The Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Children (Leong Centre) is a research centre affiliated with the Department of Pediatrics at The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto (UofT) with a vision of harnessing interdisciplinary research to promote the flourishing of every child and family. Reporting to the Director, Partnership & Operations, the Research Assistant will support a range of projects within a research program related to child health and wellbeing in Canada. This position will provide administrative and operational support for education, training and research activities that support the vision of the Leong Centre. You will be responsible for maintaining professional relationships across SickKids, UofT, external affiliates, and other national and international partners. The position will assist the Community Engagement and Knowledge Mobilization Specialist with the logistics of training and education events, granting and advisory activities. In addition, this position supports the Edwin S.H. Leong Chair in Child Policy Research, a Senior Scientist at the SickKids Research Institute and a Professor and Canada Research Chair in Population Health Equity at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at UofT. Responsibilities will include assisting this scientist with research administrative support needs, as outlined below. This position is a hybrid role, with weekly on-site work required (including Fridays and monthly in-person events).
