POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Research Resources Projects Coordinator to join the Office of Research Affairs in the School of Public Health.
Reporting directly to the Director Networks Research Resources, this position is responsible for coordinating a wide range of special projects and key phases of larger initiatives from initial planning to final execution. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of organizational skills, project management expertise, and the ability to exercise considerable judgment and initiative. This role is crucial in facilitating communication and collaboration between faculty, research staff, and university partners to ensure the timely and successful completion of research projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, social sciences or natural sciences.

  • 5 years of experience in research coordination, preferably within a scientific academic or research setting.

Master’s degree

Responsibilities
  • Provide project leadership in collaboration with internal stakeholders and research partners to define project scope, goals, and deliverables for timely submissions.
  • Develop work plans, create project estimates, and establish realistic timelines and milestones with research staff. Identify necessary resources for successful project execution. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations and status updates to ORA leadership, SPH team members, partners, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver detailed progress reports, proposal plans, submission requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Conduct post-project assessments and evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for future improvement.
  • Provide direct support to the Center Director and leadership team, performing a variety of duties as assigned to meet the daily needs of the center.
