Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for a Research Scientist to work with our team in Lafayette, IN. Job Description Responsibilities include: · Manage the beekeeping operations. Maintain healthy hives and apiaries for production and research studies · Conduct and monitor field research trials placed within organization · Maintain study data and facility records in organized manner · Sample collection and documentation of study data, both paper and electronic · Assist and execute trial applications · Participate in periodic GLP training · Domestic travel and overtime may be required Qualifications Skills: · Computer and organizational skills are a plus · Excellent communication (oral and written) across teams and attention to detail · Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptable and a positive attitude · Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions and comply with company policies Basic Minimum Qualifications: · Associate degree or equivalent; high school diploma with appropriate experience · Extensive knowledge of beekeeping operations; basic beekeeping, hive management, health and pest/disease management · Queen rearing and grafting · General knowledge of agriculture and greenhouse operations · Ability to operate farm equipment, including tractors and spray equipment · Ability to perform farm operations, including planting, maintenance, and harvest of agricultural commodities · Willing to work outside normal hours · Valid driver’s license · Experience with EPA and OECD GLP studies is a plus Additional Information Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-4 p.m., with overtime as needed.
