We are seeking an expert Research Scientist to join our elite research team at Baxter Healthcare Corporation in Braine L’Alleud, where you will play a crucial role in driving scientific advancements and breakthroughs in the field of healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical & Operational

As a Research Scientist, you will contribute to the technical feasibility analysis of complex research and design concepts, and independently plan and implement a series of design and/or technical tasks with multiple variables and advanced techniques within negotiated deadlines. You will lead analytical method development feasibility and evaluation, validation, or transfer of methods according to study protocol, and interpret experimental data to present conclusions to management. You will also review and ensure deviations are documented correctly, write comprehensive protocols and reports in English, and lead method transfer activities and support receiving sites. Additionally, your role will be to enforce quality system requirements, GMP, GDP, and EHS guidelines, collaborate with global teams across varying functions to maintain business continuity, and contribute to efforts beyond your own scope to ensure project achievements are met. You will operate current physical, chemical, and physicochemical techniques in accordance with GLP and local procedures, and critically review experimental data to ensure compliance with analytical methods, global and local procedures, and scientific correctness.

  • Leadership & Mentorship

We are looking for someone to assist the Analytical Lead in planning and coordinating analytical activities across different sites. This includes developing and validating analytical methods, as well as issuing necessary documentation. You will use your previous experience to make independent decisions on analytical projects and contribute to the overall strategy and budget. Additionally, you will provide guidance to junior team members and actively participate in team meetings to provide updates on analytical activities. Your role will also involve evaluating options for outsourcing work and ensuring the availability of necessary materials and equipment for testing in labs globally.
Furthermore, you will propose innovative approaches to complex problems through adaptations and modifications of standard technical principles and incorporate new methods and technologies for improving existing or new products/processes.
