Description
Reality Labs (RL) is responsible for delivering Meta’s vision of the next generation of wearable XR systems to enable the next great wave of human-oriented computing. We are seeking a Research Scientist Intern to work with our teams in areas of modeling and analysis of signal and power integrity, focusing on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing AI-driven solutions to model, analyze, optimize, and improve signal and power integrity of complex electronic systems at board, package and die levels. Our internships are twelve (12) to twenty-four (24) weeks long and have various start dates throughout the year. Responsibilities Develop and apply AI and ML models to simulate, analyze, and predict signal and power integrity issues in electronic systems Enable AI driven electromagnetic analysis of packages and boards to automatically extract scattering parameters to develop models for system signal and power integrity analysis Design and implement experiments to validate AI-driven signal and power integrity analysis and optimization techniques Develop algorithms and models to optimize signal and power integrity in high-speed digital systems Implement and apply AI model for signal and power integrity analysis Work with hardware design teams to integrate AI-driven signal and power integrity analysis and optimization tools into the design flow Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize research areas and develop solutions Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, ML, and signal and power integrity research Minimum Qualifications Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment Strong background in signal and power integrity analysis and optimization Proven experience with AI and ML techniques, such as deep learning, neural networks, and optimization algorithms Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE, Power SI, HFSS, or ADS Intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship/co-op Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with high-speed digital design and signal integrity analysis tools Experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras Knowledge of electromagnetic theory and high-frequency circuit analysis Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environment $7,313/month to $12,134/month + benefits
Responsibilities
The intern will develop and apply AI and ML models to analyze and predict signal and power integrity issues in electronic systems. They will also collaborate with hardware design teams to integrate AI-driven analysis tools into the design flow.
