JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PhD Scientist with expertise in drug discovery, Phage Display, and mRNA display technologies to join our Display Technologies team. The successful candidate will contribute to the identification and development of novel therapeutic agents and play a key role in our drug discovery efforts and will be responsible for driving the execution and expansion of the state-of art of new Display methodologies. Candidates with prior research experience abroad will be given priority.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Extensive experience with drug discovery, Phage Display, and mRNA display technologies.
Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, and sequencing.
Strong background in protein-protein interactions and assay development.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in English.
Experience with high-throughput screening (HTS) methods is a plus.
The position is based in Pomezia (RM).

Responsibilities

Design and execute experiments using Phage Display and mRNA display technologies to identify high-affinity peptides and antibodies.
Conduct bio-panning and selection rounds to enrich for target-specific clones.
Analyze sequencing data to identify unique peptide and antibody sequences.
Develop and optimize assays for binding, internalization, and functional activity of identified candidates.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate findings into broader drug discovery projects.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of experimental procedures and results.
Present research findings at internal and external meetings and conferences.
Stay current with advancements in drug discovery, Phage Display, and mRNA display technologies.
