Leidos’ Defense Systems RF Systems Portfolio is seeking a Research Scientist to join our team of engineers, analysts, and scientists supporting advance radar system analysis in a high-fidelity modeling and simulation environment. Our expertise is setup, test, and evaluation of radar system performance using modeling and simulation of modern air defense systems.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or other technical degree from an ABET-accredited institution plus 2-4 years relevant demonstrated performance in M&S activities or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or other technical degree from an ABET-accredited institution with less than 2 years relevant demonstrated performance in M&S activities
  • Must be proficient in programming (Python preferably, MATLAB, etc.)
  • Must be a US citizen, possess and able to maintain a DoD secret clearance or able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.
  • Must be a resident of Huntsville, AL or willing to relocate to the North Alabama area.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Radar/Air Defense Systems M&S Experience
  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or other technical degrees from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Experience working in a Linux operating environment
  • Opportunities to travel for system test events can present themselves, but no obligation to travel is present
