Job Description
The Research Scientist will collaborate with the Research Engineer to advance the research objectives taking place in the Rhoads Research Group’s laboratory.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • An ideal candidate will have at a minimum, a PhD in mechanical engineering or a related field, and have 3-5 years of academic and/or corporate research experience.
  • An MS with 5+ years of relevant experience would be considered.
  • Sub-disciplinary experience in dynamics, vibration, structural mechanics, and additive manufacturing and electromechanical systems is required.

Responsibilities
  • Scientific/Technical Consultation: Design, conduct and supervise all experiments including contributing to new research performed by Dr. Rhoads.
  • Data processing and reporting: Manage program data, create and organize structure and systems to support data collection and communication of that data to colleagues and sponsors.
  • Assist with proposal preparation mentorship of graduate students, postdoctoral associates and staff.
