Discover more via our website. Your next career opportunity: In this role, you will safeguard international research by advising on export controls, sanctions and foreign interference. You will partner with researchers and senior stakeholders to balance global collaboration with regulatory compliance and best practice. You will also design education and outreach that builds a proactive, positive research security culture. What you will deliver: Provide expert, pragmatic advice on export controls, sanctions and foreign interference across diverse research portfolios. Assess research activities and foreign interest disclosures to identify, mitigate and document research security risks. Develop and deliver written guidance and outreach that build awareness and a positive compliance culture. Monitor regulatory changes, contribute to policy submissions and translate requirements into practical University processes. Prepare clear briefings, reports and committee papers, and support audits and investigations of potential non-compliance. You may be a great fit if you: Hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent expertise gained through professional experience and training. Demonstrate strong analytical judgement, synthesising complex regulations and sensitive information into clear, actionable advice. Communicate confidently with diverse stakeholders, tailoring messages and negotiating outcomes in complex, high-stakes situations. Manage competing priorities with organised, detail-oriented practices, delivering timely outputs in a dynamic environment. Bring experience or strong interest in export controls, sanctions, foreign interference or related national security frameworks.
