You will join the DataSHIELD team at the University of Liverpool, based within the Department of Public Health, Policy & Systems (https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/population-health/about/public-health-policy-and-systems/), working in collaboration with our regional, national and international research partners across infrastructure projects contributing to the North West NHS Secure Data Environment, DARE UK frameworks for UK Trusted Research Environment (TRE) Federated Analytics and EU Horizon programme funded projects including ATHLETE (https://athleteproject.eu/, Advancing Tools for Human Early Life course Exposome Research and Translation).
You will be required to have a degree in computer science (or degree with strong computational component e.g. mathematics, physics, biomedical engineering). Experience in some area of computer infrastructure development is essential e.g. Linux server administration, database usage, containerisation (docker, Kubernetes)
The post is available for 2 years appointed at Grade 7 spine point 31, or appointment at Grade 8 spine point 37 for 1 year in the first instance.
Although the university has a hybrid working system, the expectation is that the successful applicant appointed to this role will be expected to work more than 60% on campus.
