Introduction The Outreach and Research Programme of the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health has ten community-based field sites across Pakistan (including four in Karachi) and focuses on research for betterment of women and child health. The Department has a Nutritional Research Laboratory as well as an Infectious Disease Research Laboratory that cater to the needs of its research projects. It has well-acclaimed work to its credit both at the national and international level. This is a grant funded contractual position Responsibilities you will be responsible to: ensure proper risks, action items, and decisions, using appropriate tools formulating and conducting scientific experiments, performing data collection, and analyzing and evaluating test and research result overall supervision of field office to ensure proper compliance of policies and smooth operations to facilitate commencement of project activities supervise and monitor timely visits of participants’ for follow ups responding to research questions, troubleshooting problems, developing and writing advanced experimental protocols, and monitoring ongoing projects, and proposing and implementing changes provide training to the study staff as per the protocols and guidelines of study ensure the completeness, proper filings, and archiving of the CRFs develop and implement QA QC plan with documentation and reporting contributing to and writing research findings for publications, papers, presentations, grants, and other documents preparation and compilation of study progress report in collaboration with the Data Manager, prepare monthly project reports present the study results as per the requirement develop high quality research proposals for funding agency and conduct research and contribute in publications Requirement You should have: a Master’s degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at least 2 years of experience, preferably in data collection and analysis of field research or trial experience of writing research proposals, policy briefs, or academic papers/manuscripts presenting findings to technical and non-technical audiences proven mixed methods research skills familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures experience of strong documentation and record-keeping knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices, and methods computer literacy and strong mathematical, analytical, and research skills excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills willingness to travel and work in the communities/ rural field sites integrity and strong research ethics excellent written and verbal communication skills in English strong computer skills.
