ABOUT US

At Edge Hill University we believe in the life changing opportunities knowledge can create. Since 1885, we’ve been creating access to knowledge for those who may not have had the opportunity to before.
Today, the effect we have has a far-reaching impact, not just for those who come to study here but for those who work, invest in, and live in our local communities too. So, if you’ve ever wondered if one person can make a difference, simply speak to our alumni, students, and award-winning staff.
Because for us education isn’t about how much you take in. It’s about what you take out into the world.
Inspiring minds and changing futures since 1885, Edge Hill University is “A great success story… an institution that improves and impresses year after year” – Times Higher Education.

Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Support Administrator to join the Faculty Office for the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Co-ordination of research-related events
  • Secretary to Faculty of HRI related Research Centre committee and meetings
  • General administration support, which may include post award management, ethics and PGR communications for Faculty, HRI and Research Centres

You will also provide comprehensive administrative support as part of the Research Office Administration Team, contributing to the coordination of administrative and financial monitoring processes related to the Faculty’s research activities. Your responsibilities will include assisting with research project applications, tracking and reporting, managing research ethics submissions, supporting postgraduate research students, and helping prepare for the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
The role involves close collaboration with colleagues in the Faculty Research Office Administration Team, the Associate Dean for Research & Innovation, Faculty Professors and active researchers, as well as the University Research Office, the Graduate School, and other central services to ensure appropriate research support within the Faculty, which is aligned to both university and external agency requirements.
