  • Full-time fixed term opportunity until March 2027 with a base salary of $80,037 + 17% superannuation

    As such, we are in a period of exciting and significant investment in our Faculty of Medicine and Health and in order to deliver on the University’s ambitious strategic plan, we are seeking a Research Support Assistant (North Precinct) to maintain the research component of the FMH website, which includes up-to-date information on our researchers and their current research activities. The role will collect and classify research publications for display and reporting purposes; assist to administer internal grants and awards schemes; and work closely with the Research Support Lead, Research Support Officers, and Research Administration Officers to ensure a continuity of service, and advice to FMH staff.
    This position will be based full-time at the
    Kolling Institute
    , at our Northern Precinct.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • assist with the categorisation of publications for reporting purposes
  • support the submission of accurate corporate data and correction of data quality issues in systems, such as IRMA and other Faculty based systems
  • assist researchers with the development and maintenance of their academic profiles
  • maintain records and reporting for the Research Support Unit
  • assist with the organisation of seminars, information sessions, and workshops
  • assist with internal grants and award schemes
  • manage data entry, drafting standard documents, record keeping and updating the FMH website, its content and supporting research materials.

To be successful in this role, you have:

  • the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work
  • problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement, and ability to prioritise workload during busy periods
  • working knowledge of software programs such as Research Profiles Management, IRMA, Sydney Student, and Content Management Systems
  • demonstrated attention to detail in data entry processes.
