ABOUT US

Biological Services is an integral part of UCL’s biomedical research efforts, providing expert services to researchers primarily within the School of Life and Medical Sciences. The department is composed of around 80 staff based across a number of UCL’s sites in London. We work collaboratively with researchers to deliver an outstanding service and ensure that a high standard of animal welfare is maintained throughout.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The post holder will join UCL Biological Services as a Research Support Technician (Procedural). A brief overview of the job as follows:

• To be a pro-active member of the Biological services team in a multi-species facility
• Responsibility for overseeing breeding programmes, husbandry, monitoring and maintenance of experimental animals
• To perform regulated and non-regulated procedures individually and as part of study teams
• Contribute to the everyday running and maintenance of work throughout the animal facility
