JOB SUMMARY

The University of Michigan has an exciting and enriching opportunity available for a responsible, organized, and motivated individual. Our office is hiring a Research Technician Intermediate to work on a long running stroke research project. This position is located in Corpus Christi, TX.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

• High school or equivalent and/or associate’s degree.
• 1+ years of experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others, ability to follow written instructions, and strong oral and written communication skills are required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred to serve Spanish-speaking population.
• Research experience and/or minimum of 2 years college preferred.

• Collecting medical record data from Corpus Christi area hospitals
• Using personal vehicles to travel to sleep appointments
• Consenting subjects, interviewing stroke patients
• Taking patient’s body measurements, applying a sleep monitoring device to patients, picking up the device the next morning
• Uploading device data to sleep nosologist
• Entering data collected from the participant
• Making phone calls to schedule assessments
• Participate in weekly research meetings/training and communicate routine correspondence regarding participants/interview status.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Candidates will be required to cross-train in other job duties.
