About Us The Hägglöf Lab studies how B lymphocytes sense and respond to molecular stresses and insults to determine how B cell coping mechanisms control antibody formation and immune responses in contexts of cancer and vaccination. Therefore, the lab performs immunological assays to study B cells including flow cytometry, ELISA, immunofluorescent microscopy), mouse colony management, genotyping, tissue isolation from mouse bone marrow, spleen, lymph nodes. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Perform a moderate number of simple or moderate technical procedures; Mouse ear punching Mouse weaning Mouse injections Tissue harvesting Immunoessays Flow Cytometry Tissue Prep for Micropsy Require occasional guidance; Order routine supplies; Modify technical procedures; Train other lab members; Guide other lab members; A simple / limited understanding of scientific literature and the research goals and rationale is required; Occasionally analyze data; Interpret data; Make written contributions to papers and grant proposals.* QUALIFICATIONS Required to have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a related science or equivalent skills and related experience, and zero to two years of related experience. previous experience from B cell biology lab preferred prior experience from a B cell lab, working with memory B cells or plasma cells Hiring Rate $26.80 Post Probationary Rate $27.33 Job Rate $28.18 Minimum Salary Range Maximum Salary Range
