Exciting Opportunity at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center: Join the Alexander Gitlin Lab as a Research Technician! The Gitlin Lab, part of the Immunology Program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, investigates the molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate inflammatory signaling in health and disease. Using genome editing, in vivo models, proteomics, advanced imaging, and genomic screens, you would help uncover fundamental principles of inflammation biology and innate immunity. Role Overview: Laboratory Support: Prepare and maintain lab equipment, instruments, solutions, stains, assays, and other essential supplies. Techniques & Assays: Perform specialized techniques, such as cell culture, genome editing techniques etc. Mouse Handling: The Gitlin Lab uses in vivo models primarily in mice to study inflammatory signaling and immune regulation. Data Management: Record and analyze research data, prepare reports, and provide insights to the research team. Collaboration: Assist peers and researchers with ongoing projects, fostering a team-oriented, supportive environment. Key Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in biology or biochemistry. Experience with cell culture and genome editing techniques. Must be comfortable working with mice. Core Skills: Outstanding communication and self-awareness. Critical thinking and problem-solving.
