REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Able to stoop, bend, and kneel to manage small animal cages, demonstrating physical agility and efficiency
• Capable of handling small animals and using a computer system to document tasks and activities accurately.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to changes and shifting priorities.
• Capable of lifting up to 35lbs and working on your feet for periods of 4-6 hours while maintaining productivity.
• Comply with safety and hygiene standards by wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as scrubs, surgical gowns, masks, gloves, shoe covers, eye protection, and head coverings.
• Basic knowledge of tissue and blood sample harvesting techniques, with a focus on learning and improving these skills.
• Willingness to learn how to administer compounds, vehicles, or cell cultures with accuracy and care.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently under supervision, meeting deadlines.
• Communicate effectively within the team, contributing to a supportive and efficient work atmosphere.
• Contribute to the team’s objectives and help ensure alignment with the organization’s overall goals.

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in related field, with 0-2 yrs. of work experience required.
• Associate degree in related field, with 2-5 yrs. experience in a laboratory research environment preferred.
• Prior laboratory animal (mainly rodent) experience strongly preferred
