PURPOSE
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC), in collaboration with the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI), is seeking dedicated professionals for a critical research project involving anthropometric measurements on Hispanic minors. This project requires a highly ethical approach and a commitment to precision and professionalism.
You will work with TAMU-CC researchers in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment to improve the safety of consumer products by measuring body size, body shape, body composition, grip strength, and actigraphy data of Hispanic children/youth ages from 3 years to 17 years. The role requires a strong understanding of ethical standards and data recording protocols.
This would be a great position for those who are seeking hands-on research experience or for those with experience working with children in an educational or research setting. Individuals who have an interest in early childhood education and development, kinesiology, engineering (industrial, biomedical, mechanical, computer science), physical therapy, or the medical field, may find this position particularly interesting. Experience is preferred; however, successful candidates will be trained to perform all research-related activities.
