THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are looking for a Research Technician with experience using both Drosophila and cell culture techniques. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge research programme focused on understanding the link between environmental pollutants and diabetes development. The post requires conducting experiments both in vivo ( Drosophila ) and in vitro , using primary and immortalised pancreatic β-cells, to determine the effects of exposure to chemicals from plastic pollution on whole body metabolism and β-cell function.
This post is fixed term (for 12 months) and part-time (17.5 hours per week) but we are open to considering flexible working patterns.
