Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Cambrian College’s Applied Research and Innovation department requires an Applied Research Technologist - Software Developer on a 12- month basis
Reporting to the Research Engineer of the Centre for Smart Mining, the incumbent will work on applied research projects related to software and hardware projects. They will also:
- Work with departments to engage industry partners seeking engineering and research solutions and to scope out and deliver projects in service of industry needs
- Carry out design, development and testing of software solutions, while also working with students who may also be working on projects in the lab
- Design, build and deploy software
- Work on applied research projects involving software and IOT
