POSITION SUMMARY

Cambrian College’s Applied Research and Innovation department requires an Applied Research Technologist - Software Developer on a 12- month basis

Reporting to the Research Engineer of the Centre for Smart Mining, the incumbent will work on applied research projects related to software and hardware projects. They will also:

Work with departments to engage industry partners seeking engineering and research solutions and to scope out and deliver projects in service of industry needs
Carry out design, development and testing of software solutions, while also working with students who may also be working on projects in the lab
Design, build and deploy software
Work on applied research projects involving software and IOT
