Description
Company Description Bosch Global Software Technologies Private Limited is a 100% owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH, one of the world's leading global supplier of technology and services, offering end-to-end Engineering, IT and Business Solutions. With over 27,000+ associates, it’s the largest software development center of Bosch, outside Germany, indicating that it is the Technology Powerhouse of Bosch in India with a global footprint and presence in the US, Europe and the Asia Pacific region. Job Description Roles & Responsibilities : For this profile, the focus is set on modeling interfacial reactions which is of great importance for proper long term functioning of products in electromobility and regenerative energy tech. You’ll derive and implement strategies for cross-scale description of the interaction of multi-phase fluids and metals with a focus on electrochemistry and fluid dynamics. You develop and apply 2D/3D multi-physics models using numerical simulations along with the requisite scripting and programming. For certain modelling tasks you’ll combine physics-based models with data-based approaches for efficiency and accuracy gains. You’ll parameterize and validate models with available data using multivariate statistics. You will work in international teams and perform necessary development / implementation tasks to accomplish the research goals. Publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences. Qualifications Educational qualification: MS/M.Tech, PhD from top Indian institutes (IITs, NITs, IISc etc.) or from top international institutes in Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or any other Engineering, Science or Interdisciplinary streams where the candidate has gained demonstrable required skills detailed hereunder with good academic track record and research publications related to: Computational Science or Engineering where the required skills have been clearly leveraged Experience : 3+ Mandatory/requires Skills : Experienced in the field of modeling of electrochemical/corrosion phenomena at interfaces Sound knowledge in multi-physics simulation as well as computational fluid dynamics (CFD), preferably with OpenFOAM and/or COMSOL Good knowledge of Ordinary and Partial Differential equations Sound knowledge of numerical methods in engineering viz Finite element, Finite Volume and Finite difference methods Sound understanding of Linear algebra Excellent coding skills in Python and C++ including version control (e.g. Git), software testing, linting Competent in handling of statistical data analysis and application of machine learning techniques, preferably with Python (ideally PyTorch) and C++ Enthusiastic and curious to work for a cross-domain task with high complexity Excellent communication and presentation skills Preferred Skills : Experience with simulation tools: MATLAB and Simulink and Ansys will be added advantage. Familiarity with high performance computing will be added advantage. Knowledge of homogenization and model order reduction methods would be an added advantage Knowledge of LLMs and usage of GenAI tools, assists and copilots would be an added advantage
Responsibilities
The role focuses on modeling interfacial reactions crucial for the long-term functioning of products in electromobility and regenerative energy technology. Responsibilities include developing and applying multi-physics models and validating them with available data.
