We are establishing an advanced research center dedicated to the design, characterization, modeling, and development of innovative insulating materials for electrical machines.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge solutions using functionalized graphene and other nanomaterials, with a strong focus on improving insulating materials to meet the most demanding partial discharge requirements of our WEG customers.

REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:-

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D laboratory activities and conducting material characterization tests;
• International participation in committees and regulatory bodies (e.g.,IEC, IEEE) related to insulating materials and systems;
• Ability to coordinate research groups;
• Experience in developing and executing test plans, validation, and qualification of insulating materials under different environmental and electrical conditions;
• Experience in analyzing material failures using physical, chemical, and electrical characterization techniques;
• Participation in intellectual property processes (patents, know-how registrations) related to new materials;

REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE:

• Competence in developing insulation systems for electrical machines;
• Conducting low TRL research and understanding strategies to increase it;
• Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology (Black Belt preferred), with a focus on reliability analysis;
• Programming skills (Python) and machine learning concepts applied to the analysis of experimental R&D data;
• Mastery of materials characterization techniques (FTIR, DSC, TGA, DMA, SEM, EDX, among others);
• Advanced knowledge of dielectric characterization methods (tan delta, partial discharges, dielectric strength, dielectric spectroscopy).
