Tahoe Rental Company has been a leader in providing vacation rentals in this sought-after destination for many years, managing over 100 vacation rental homes across the North and West Shores of Lake Tahoe. We pride ourselves on our local customer service, operations, and management team, as well as our thorough property inspections before and after each guest’s stay to ensure a seamless experience.
We are currently seeking a Reservations Agent with strong sales and customer service skills to interact with guests through various online platforms. Your day will primarily involve communicating with guests via phone, email, and SMS, managing their reservations, and coordinating special surprises for celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries to enhance their experience.
As the welcoming voice of our brand, you will engage with customers and ensure their needs are met. This role can be fast-paced, so strong multitasking and time management skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize sales tactics to maximize revenue opportunities, such as upselling additional nights or travel insurance for advance bookings.
  • Manage reservations, including processing bookings, cancellations, and handling communications through emails, phone calls, and online chats.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Reach out to past guests and potential leads to encourage future stays.
  • Handle payment transactions accurately.
  • Track and monitor guest interactions.
  • Address guest feedback and complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to management as necessary.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping staff to fulfill guest requests when needed.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Familiarity with technology; training will be provided for our current software (Streamline).
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
