Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include: Fulfills reservation requests for guests of the resort from the following sources. Will have access to the Player Club Database. Responsibility for validating Player Club eligibility for new gaming patrons wishing to participate in the approved gaming promotional activities. Incoming phone calls from toll-free number 800-827-2946 and local outside number 760-342-5000. Reservation requests from the Global Distribution System (Internet). Reservation requests from casino hosts and other internal departments. Answer, screen, and route external and internal calls as needed. Supply information to callers regarding on-site facilities. Review bulletins to be aware of upcoming events. As needed, perform other clerical duties such as filing, faxing, copying, and preparing and sorting mail. Assist with the entry of Group Reservations as well as various rooming lists. Cover shifts as needed to ensure the call center is properly staffed. Other duties may be assigned. This position is not limited to the duties listed in the job description. Duties and responsibilities can be changed, expanded, reduced, or deleted to meet the company's business needs. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements To perform this job successfully, the Reservationist must be able to perform each individual job duty satisfactorily. The following competencies are required: Customer Service - Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is a hospitality organization. As such, the ability to conduct business in a positive and friendly manner, both with guests and staff and in negative situations, is a requirement of the position. Education - High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Communication - The Reservationist must be competent in oral and written communication and reading comprehension using the English language; bilingual ability in Spanish is a plus. Task Management - Must be able to handle multiple tasks of varying priority and deadlines simultaneously. Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Computer Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Operating System, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, ACSC, and OPERA. Physical Demands - The Reservationist is frequently required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and speak and hear. The employee may also be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Work Environment: Employees working in the Casino or Bowling Center may be exposed to second-hand smoke and moderate levels of noise.
